Literacy Timeline
     When I begin my timeline, the story begins with my birth. During the timeline, I don’t have a hard time remembering details, but it is hard to get everything on paper, because it is too much memory in my mind, I don’t even know where to start off.
     There are some interesting things I found when I was composing my timeline, I want to found more details in my memory, so I checked the previous photo, I would understand the passage of time will indeed bring a little change. When I look at my photos, I remember great memories, something happy, something sad. But it now seems that all good. I think it is the most interesting thing when I was composing my timeline.
     I notice a theme throughout my timeline. Actually I did not focus on one thing, in my timeline, I write about I like to play piano and I like read book. And I write more details about how to study and I share experience about I overcome difficulties. When I was write this paper, I choose focus on my study experience in my school life. It is not easy to pick one experience, we will have many problems when we study, and we need to solve them by myself. It is hard to choose which one is the most representative.
     The experience of creating a timeline told me that I love read books, I love music and I know how to find my mistake, than overcome difficulties.

Literacy Narrative
     I focus on my middle school for my writing narrative. There are many idea jump out at me, the only way I can do is focus on middle school life. If I write many thing about high school or now, I get so distracted than make this paper within logic.
     I write an outlet when I was began to write my narrative, it is much easy for me to organize my story. It isn’t read chronologically, it is almost like a memory part. It is not very difficult to organize my thoughts into my draft. After peer review, my partner gives me some suggest. I write more details in my first paragraph and also conclusion. My partner gave me a big help, he helps me to modify syntax for me and he also help me to correct spelling mistakes.
     When I made the final edits to my narrative, I am already to turn the story into a video slideshow. It is change my normally write a story. I will pay attention to chronological order and clearly distinguishing between primary and secondary.

     I didn’t choose the sentences which is my partner choose, because I didn’t write more details about myself in the first draft. I choose the sentences after I edit the draft and I also add some sentences which no appearance in my essay.
     I found it is difficult to edit my text down for the 52-character limit per slide. I have to cut short the sentence, and reorganize new sentence. Sometimes, I just write the keyword.
     When I write a little story, I will put some images, some images is about theme and some images is transition. I uses as complimentary to my text. For example, I talk about the first book that I read, than I put the picture of the book. I choose the photos in my video, I think it is much easy to make people understand.
     Combine pictures and text was made my video more interesting and more intuitive. These photos are mostly personal. When I begin a story or end a story, I will put some photos between the next story.  Also I will put some photos in one story. These photos help me make my video funny.
     I didn’t choose any song for my video, because I forget. When I realized it, it is too late. And fortunately, the style which I choose it is quite for my slideshow. The music is relaxed and sweet.
     If I’ve had a chance to reflect, I would choose a song in my slideshow, I would put two more photos and write more text about memory. I didn’t choose a song for my video has become my most regrettable thing in this project.

In Your Own Words, Digital Literacy

1. I don't think my teacher in elementary, middle and high school did better prepared me for the tech requirements in college. Because I went to elementary, middle and also high school in China but I went to college in the United States. If I could write them a brief email, I would suggest don't focus on students' score, our teacher should be more cultivate to students' integrated art. In China, teacher usually focus on grades, I think grades do matter, but they are not the be all end all of everything.

2. I want to be a editor in one day. As a editor, I have to use the computer in my career field. Because editor needs use computer to write papers and add photos. I think Oakland University will prepare me for this.

3. I do feel write better in a more relaxed setting, because when I want to edit my paper, it is much better than write on paper, and I don't need to worried about I write wrong words.

4. If I were a teacher, I would teach them how to use the super high technology. As a teacher, I need to learn how to use them first, and than I will teach our future generations some super high technology in class. 

5. I do agree with the main thesis with this paper, I could not say the college is the only way to make our dream come true, but it is the normal way to come true their career goal. Now we are facing an era of advanced technology. Our future generation need to know how to use technology.

  From Mother Tongue by Amy Tan, I know she is a writer who really likes language. She found the language can evoke an emotion, When Amy has a presentation, she can speak fluent English and when she talk to her mother at home, she use the different English, such as broken English. There are few Asian American join the writing programs, but through Amy’s hard working, she becomes an English major in her first year in college. Each country has the different cultures, each country has the different mother language, such as me learn English, I use the way that I speak Chinese to learn English. I like being able to speaking two language, I am study English now, so I need to improve my writing ability and communication.

1. The blog has many features, like the post collection, links and the time stamp. Blogs are short and informal. The different from print sources because you have to formal writing. 

2. Hourihan feel blog are communication revolution, because blog become more and more popular, many people begin to use blog to visits news, not only personal. 

3. I feel like keeping a blog in the class is easy to see what is paper we did during this semester, it is better than the paper. It is easy to organize my paper. The only disadvantage is very public, because you put it online, and everyone can see it. 

4. Blogging is like you can talk anything you want, you can share your mood, your feeling and your ideas about issue. When other people see your blog, they can give you some different idea about the issue, it is like a process of learning and meriting from each other.

Why is writing important

My life goal is to become a editor. As a editor need to know how to write a good essay, as a editor have to learn  writing skills, and I think my writing skills need to become more organized and also creative, be a editor need had plenty of imagination. Some time, you need to put news and issues in your report, usually is a simple report, and the editors have polished the manuscript. Only I have strong writing skills, than I can polished the article. I have to improve my writing ability in my college, because I will write a lot of papers, writing articles can be a great boost for my career.
